Happenings Lately

Ahhh It has been a while my friends. Time just gets away from me so fast these days. Are you ready for some random rambles. A lot has been going on so that makes the days go even faster I think.

We are halfway into November, with Thanksgiving and Kinley's birthday fastly approaching. Then can you believe Christmas is going to be here?? Oh my!!! I am not trying to rush anything but my mom is coming to town and I am super excited. So really I am trying to rush it :).

What is new lately? Hmmmm. We had our 16 week check up on Baby #2 and everything looks great! We might even know the gender :). I will be sharing more of that later though. But feel free to share your guesses. We are so very excited and can't wait to announce it. I don't get to go back until 21 weeks for the big anatomy scan. I can't wait for some good pictures of this little peanut. I will be 18 weeks Friday and can't believe we are almost to halfway. It really is flying! And overall I feel pretty great except for being tired and dry heaving in the mornings if I don't' eat soon enough. Food just still doesn't sound great.

I know Halloween was a few weeks ago but I never did talk about it. Kinley had a blast. At first she was very skeptical about going up to the houses and talking to the people. After about 5 houses she understood what was going on and got the hang of things. She seemed to really enjoy it and I must say she was the cutest kitty in town. Wouldn't you agree??

Things are really starting to come together around the house. We have finally begun to get some family pictures hung and it is starting to feel like a home. Of course there will always be things I want to work on and it will always be a work in progress but it feels good that things are finally starting to come together. Kinley seems to really be getting settled as well and loves to run the entire house. The only bad thing is the dog keeps throwing up. He must be eating something in the yard but it is not good. It has happened quite a few times and we have been quarantining him in the kitchen for better clean up. We don't know what it could be.

Matt's mom turned 60 this past week and we all celebrated by eating at PF Changs. Honestly it is not my favorite place but it wasn't too bad this time. Kinley was very well behaved and loved seeing her Nee and Pop. Matt and I also took her to the park and she had a blast. We have to soak up all the decent days until winter is here full force.

This weekend coming up we have a wedding to go to that Matt is a groomsmen in. It should be a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to some adult time with my husband. We haven't been able to get out much because things have just been so busy and really we like to stay home with Kinley. Does that ever get easier? Wanting to leave your kids? LOL. Maybe since I work full time I feel like I don't spend very much time with her as it is so I try to soak it all up. I don't mind working most of the time but I do miss her a lot! I wrote about embracing life as a working mom a few months back if you want to check it out here.

That is what is going on with us the past few weeks. Hope everyone is having a great week! Happy Wednesday from this sass a frass.

  1. Yay for a healthy ultrasound! Glad your little bean is healthy and strong. And Kinley is such a cutie too! Love that Halloween costume. :) Hope you guys have a good rest of your week and you get to feeling a bit better soon! My nausea stopped almost entirely at 16 weeks. Fingers crossed I can magically give you some of that luck? ;)
